eTrunk™ – Quick Start

The eTrunk is a convenient, lockable storage compartment under the hood. It can be used to store groceries, gear and more — and even includes a power outlet.

2 ways to open/close the hood of the eTrunk

Make sure the vehicle is in PARK.

From inside the vehicle:

1. Locate the eTrunk symbol on the instrument panel to the left of the steering wheel. Press once to activate the power latch on the hood of the eTrunk.

2. Get out of the car and lift the hood open.

3. To close the hood, push on it with a steady downward motion.

4. The latch will pull the hood fully closed. Keep hands and fingers clear of the hood opening.

Using your key fob:

1. To open, press the hood symbol twice and hold until the hood unlatches.

2. Lift the hood open.

3. To close the hood, push on it with a steady downward motion.

4. The latch will pull the hood fully closed. Keep hands and fingers clear of the hood opening.


Note: To avoid personal injury or death, always keep the hood fully closed and latched when storing the vehicle.

People, including children, should never climb inside the eTrunk.
