Start Driving Hands-Free with Super Cruise

If equipped, available Super Cruise®† is a driver assistance technology that allows hands-free driving on compatible roads. While you’re using the feature, it helps prompt you to pay close attention to the road so you’re ready to take control.

You must have an active eligible Super Cruise Connected Services Plan† or Trial to use Super Cruise.

To engage/disengage Super Cruise:

1. Press the Adaptive Cruise Control button (it looks like a speedometer with an arrow pointing to it) on the steering wheel to turn on the system.

2. When you’re on a compatible road and all conditions necessary for the feature to function are met, the Super Cruise symbol on the Driver Display will light up white.

3. When it is safe to do so, press the Super Cruise button on the steering wheel.

4. When both the steering wheel icon on the Driver Display and the steering wheel light bar light up green, you can take your hands off the steering wheel. Super Cruise is now active!

5. If you hadn’t set an Adaptive Cruise Control† speed before turning Super Cruise on, the system will set your current speed as the cruise speed.

6. When you turn Super Cruise on, it will activate the following safety and driver assistance features, even if you had turned them off before:

a. Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking†

b. Forward Collision Alert†

c. Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert†

d. When you turn Super Cruise off, these features will revert to the settings you had previously indicated for them.

7. If you turn these available features on in the Settings menu, Super Cruise can steer to perform a single lane change under certain conditions, either requested by the driver (Lane Change On Demand) or initiated by the Super Cruise system (Automatic Lane Change).

a. See your Owner’s Manual or Chevrolet Support for instructions and limitations of these features.

8. To turn Super Cruise off, press the Super Cruise button again or press the brake pedal and firmly take control of the wheel.

a. On electric vehicles, you can pull the Regen On Demand paddle towards you to turn Super Cruise off.

b. Pressing the brake pedal or pulling the Regen On Demand paddle will also turn off Adaptive Cruise Control.

Super Cruise uses a Driver Attention System. It provides feedback on system status, works to monitor your head and eye positioning and uses alerts that prompt you to pay close attention to the road and steer manually when needed. If you do not respond to the alerts and take steering control when prompted, Super Cruise may disengage or become locked out. See your Owner’s Manual for more information.
