Each year in December, the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show drops the checkered flag on the racing season at the Indiana Convention Center. And each year at the event in downtown Indianapolis, Chevrolet Performance provides racers and enthusiasts the chance to get an up-close look at the parts that can help them win trophies in the 12 months to come.

As has become tradition, this year the Bowtie Brand was set up in booth Nos. 4221 and 4321 in the Yellow Hall, almost squarely in the center of the show.

A major highlight of the Chevrolet Performance display at the 2022 PRI Trade Show was the 2023 COPO Camaro powered by a 632 cu.-in. Big-Block.

On one side of the booth, the main walkway was flanked by a pair of Camaros originally built more than 50 years apart but equally impressive in their own unique way.

One was the newly unveiled 2023 COPO Camaro powered by a naturally aspirated  632 cu.-in. Big-Block – an engine option in the purpose-built race car for the first time.

Directly across sat a 1970 Camaro with an LT4 crate engine* under the hood. The popular supercharged Gen V power plant is capable of 650 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque.

Circle track engines were among the power plants prominently featured in the booth.

The interior of the display was highlighted by a variety of parts built for performance, including multiple versions of Chevrolet Performance crate engines.* Among those showcased was the new L8T crate,* a 6.6L monster holding the title of the largest-displacement engine in the LT family. It is capable of 401 horsepower and 464 lb.-ft. of torque. The L8T also powers the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD models, meaning it has a pedigree built to work.

Circle track crate engines* were also a centerpiece of the display – with the CT350, CT400 and CT525 all prominently featured. Each engine is an ideal choice for various levels of competition, from budget-conscious hobbyists to the most competitive touring racers.

The Chevrolet Performance display featured a wide variety of engines and components.

Other engines on-site included the always-popular Small-Block, Big-Block, LS and LT crate power plants,* along with engine choices for the COPO Camaro and LSX options built for boost.

Transmissions featured in the booth included the SuperMatic 6L80-E six-speed automatic and the Super Magnum five-speed manual. Plus, a massive display board allowed showgoers to identify dozens of factory-matched Connect & Cruise Crate Powertrain Systems to help take the guesswork out of selecting the correct crate engine and transmission combination for their project vehicle or race car.

A variety of engine blocks, cylinder heads, engine components, accessories and more were in the booth as well, as were multiple Colorado ZR2 Off-Road and Silverado performance upgrades. The 2023 Colorado ZR2 from Chad Hall Racing on display showcased many of those truck parts.

Chevrolet Performance also was in the EV Performance Zone at PRI.

In addition to its internal combustion offerings, Chevrolet Performance also made its presence known in the electric vehicle space at PRI. Both the 2019 eCOPO Camaro Concept and upcoming Ultium eCrate* Package were featured in booth No. 6058 as part of the EV Performance Zone.

Chevrolet Performance staff, including multiple engineers, were on the show floor to answer questions, while copies of the new 2023 catalog allowed showgoers to pick out just what their race car or project vehicle needs to be ready to go when the racing and show season kicks off.

After all, it's just a few short months until we go green again.
