In the heart of the holiday season, Chevrolet Performance recently delivered a gift to drag racers and vehicle collectors: the 2023 COPO Camaro.

The latest version of the purpose-built race car made its first public appearance during the 2022 PRI Trade Show, but the car traces its lineage all the way back to 1969. That's when clever dealers famously used Chevrolet's Central Office Production Order system to outfit Camaro models with 427 cu.-in.Big-Block engines, making them a terror on the drag strip.

The latest incarnation of the modern-day COPO Camaro carries on the spirit of the 1969 version –  the 2023 COPO is available with a naturally aspirated 632 cu-in. Big-Block engine. It is the largest-displacement power plant ever offered in the car.

However, multiple engine options remain for COPO racers and collectors. Both the supercharged, LSX-based 350 and naturally aspirated, LSX-based 427 are available as well. Each of the three COPO models features a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission and an overall setup designed for performance on the strip.

Exterior paint colors include Black, Summit White, Red Hot and Satin Steel Gray Metallic for all models, while Vivid Orange is exclusive to the COPO 632 and comes with a special color-and-graphics package.

The 2023 COPO Camaro is only available through U.S. dealerships and quantities are limited, so be sure to submit the information for your order today.

You can be a part of history while making your own on the track.
