Throughout 2024, Team Chevy made a habit of reaching victory lane en route to multiple driver championships and manufacturer crowns across a variety of disciplines.

But that’s really nothing new.

Austin Prock scored his first NHRA Funny Car championship in 2024 after a dominant season behind the wheel of his John Force Racing Camaro SS.

NHRA
This year, the Bowtie Brand was perhaps most dominant on the drag strip. In the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Austin Prock picked up eight wins (including the prestigious U.S Nationals in Indianapolis) and a record 15 No. 1 qualifying positions in his John Force Racing Chevrolet Camaro SS. That all culminated in a championship at the conclusion of his dominant first year in the category.

To close out the season, Prock and the team led by his father, Jimmy, turned in the fastest pass in NHRA history, reaching 341.68 mph in the first round of the finale at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip in California.

“Every one of these guys is a close friend,” Prock said of his team. “We have a lot of fun, and we had a lot of success this year. I’m really looking forward to next year. I can’t thank them enough for all of the hard work they put in to give me an opportunity to go up there and stand on the gas and showcase my talent. I think we turned some heads this year.”

JFR Camaro SS Funny Cars notched a total of 12 wins in 20 NHRA events in 2024, with John Force and Jack Beckman picking up two apiece. Beckman, who filled in for Force after the 16-time champion was forced to sit out the rest of the season due to an accident in June, raced to a second-place points result.

Prock also won the PRO Superstar Shootout at Florida’s Bradenton Motorsports Park to open the season, and his Top Fuel teammate Brittany Force claimed one victory in her Chevrolet dragster from the JFR stable.

Greg Anderson picked up his six Pro Stock title in his KB Titan Racing Camaro SS.

In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson drove his KB Titan Racing Camaro SS to his sixth championship after defeating his teammate Dallas Glenn in a winner-take-all final round in the season finale at Pomona. Anderson grabbed three Wally trophies during the season, Glenn picked up five, and Elite Motorsports’ Aaron Stanfield – the third player in the all-Camaro title fight – led the way with six victories in 2024. A Camaro SS reached the winner’s circle in all 20 NHRA national events.

Anderson, one of the greatest Pro Stock drivers of all time with 106 career victories, mounted an impressive comeback to score the title. But he spoke highly of the talent across the class after hoisting the championship trophy.

“The future of the sport is just fantastic, the great depth we’ve got, all of the young guns,” he said. “It’s fun, it’s cool. I had a blast.”

Also, Joe Sorensen drove to the Stock Eliminator title in his 1969 Camaro and Greg Stanfield took the Factory X crown in his COPO Camaro

Chevrolet claimed the Manufacturers Championship in all three NASCAR national series for the second consecutive season.

NASCAR
In the NASCAR ranks, Chevrolet took the Manufacturers Championship in all three national series for the second year in a row and sixth time overall, achieving the honor both by piling up race wins and turning in consistent finishes.

“Winning the manufacturer championship titles in all three NASCAR national series for the second straight year is a remarkable achievement, and we are so proud of all the Chevy teams,” said Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet. “This wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and dedication we’ve seen all season long from Chevrolet engineers, drivers, crew chiefs and teams. We all work together to put the best race cars and trucks on the track every week, and the championships are a true testament to the strength of that collaborative effort across each series.”

In the NASCAR Cup Series, the Bowtie grabbed a series-leading 15 wins by eight drivers representing four organizations: Hendrick Motorsports, Trackhouse Racing, Richard Childress Racing and JTG Daugherty Racing. Throughout the season, Kaulig Racing and Spire Motorsports also contributed to the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1’s success as Chevrolet captured its 43rd manufacturer title and fourth in a row.

Hendrick Motorsports’ Kyle Larson led the series with six wins, while his teammate William Byron gave Chevrolet its highest-finishing driver in the Cup Series standings with a third-place result after making the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway. Byron posted three victories during the 2024 campaign, including the season-opening Daytona 500.

Justin Allgaier raced his JR Motorsports Camaro SS to his first career NASCAR Xfinity Series championship.

The Bowtie also claimed its 26th Bill France Performance Cup as the champion manufacturer in the NASCAR Xfinity Series on the strength of 18 wins, taking victory in more than half of the races on the calendar. Ten different drivers from four teams reached victory lane. Justin Allgaier picked up two wins in 2024 and collected his first Xfinity Series driver’s title behind the wheel of his JR Motorsports Camaro SS. His triumph represented Chevrolet’s 22nd Xfinity Series championship among 17 drivers. This year, three-fourths of the Xfinity Series Championship Four featured Team Chevy.

Chevrolet earned its 12th manufacturers’ crown in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series as well. The brand posted 12 wins, also more than half the races on the schedule. Six drivers from five organizations scored victories. Christian Eckes drove his McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Silverado RST to a third-place points result to lead the Bowtie in the final standings.

Additionally, Andres Perez of Rev Racing won the ARCA Menards Series title in his Chevrolet SS from the Rev Racing stable.

In May, Team Penske driver Josef Newgarden won the Indianapolis 500 with Team Chevy for the second year in a row.

INDYCAR
In the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, Chevrolet claimed the Manufacturer Championship for the third year in a row and ninth time since its return to INDYCAR competition for the 2012 season.

“This is a proud moment for everyone at Chevrolet. The effort by GM Motorsports competition engineering and Propulsion engineers, along with our partners at Ilmor, to deliver power and reliability in the Chevy 2.2 liter V-6 INDYCAR engine has been outstanding,” said Mark Reuss, GM President.

“This Championship is truly a combined effort and could not have been accomplished without the teamwork, preparation, and execution of the five Chevrolet teams: Team Penske, Arrow McLaren, Ed Carpenter Racing, AJ Foyt Racing and Juncos Hollinger Racing. Congratulations to our teams and drivers, and thank you to INDYCAR for providing an incredibly competitive series.”

In 2024, Chevrolet took 11 of 17 victories, including Team Penske’s second consecutive win in the Indianapolis 500 with driver Josef Newgarden. Since 2012, Team Chevy has won 122 of 215 races, including six Indianapolis 500 triumphs.

This year, Chevrolet also claimed three of the top-five finishing positions in the driver point standings, with Team Penske’s Scott McLaughlin and Will Power occupying the third and fourth positions, respectively, and Pato O’Ward of Arrow McLaren taking the fifth spot. All three drivers nabbed three checkered flags in 2024, while Newgarden picked up two.

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R competed in multiple sports car championships through the 2024 season.

Corvette Racing
Corvette Racing rounded out Team Chevy’s key entries in 2024 – the first year of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R.

Corvette Racing by Pratt Miller Motorsports fielded two cars in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship GTD PRO category, with Antonio Garcia and Alex Sims driving the No. 3 to the Z06 GT3.R’s first IMSA class victory at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in July. Garcia and Sims scored three podium finishes en route to a third-place result in the team and driver standings, while Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg picked up two podiums in the sister No. 4 car on their way to eighth in the driver and team points. Chevrolet also took third in the full-season manufacturer battle but claimed the GTD PRO championship in the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup.

In the deep IMSA GTD class, AWA (Andrew Wojteczko Autosport) drivers Matt Bell and Orey Fidani steered their No. 13 Corvette Z06 GT3.R to a 10th-place points result. The team’s biggest prize came at the end of the season as Fidani won the Bob Akin Award as the highest-scoring, Bronze-rated driver in GTD throughout the season. As part of the honor, Fidani and AWA earned an automatic invitation to the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans with the team intending to field a Corvette in the LMGT3 class.

Speaking of Le Mans and the global stage, TF Sport also fielded a pair of Corvette Z06 GT3.R race cars in the LMGT3 class of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). The team closed out the season with the first two podium finishes for the Corvette GT3 program in the series, as Charlie Eastwood, Tom Van Rumpuy and Rui Andrade drove their No. 81 car to the runner-up spot in the LMGT3 class at the 8 Hours of Bahrain. Their teammates Daniel Juncadella, Hiroshi Koizumi and Sebastien Baud came home third in the No. 82 car. In the FIA Endurance Trophy for LMGT3 teams, TF Sport’s No. 81 Corvette finished in the 10th position.

The Corvette Z06 GT3.R program that found the most success in 2024 was DXDT Racing in Fanatec GT World Challenge America.

The program debuted with a single Pro-Am Corvette followed by the addition of a Pro-class entry at Circuit of the Americas in May. The No. 63 Corvette of Milner and Alec Udell swept the COTA weekend and proceeded to take six additional Pro victories in a row and seven overall race wins. Despite missing the season’s first four races, Milner and Udell missed out on the championship by just 27 points.

Meanwhile, Bryson Morris and Bryan Sellers picked up two class victories in the Pro-Am class aboard DXDT Racing’s No. 64 Corvette Z06 GT3.R. Ultimately, Chevrolet finished as runner-up in the manufacturer standings.

“From the start in May, it wasn’t supposed to be possible for us to contend for the championship,” Udell said. “That speaks to the platform of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R, DXDT Racing, Corvette Racing and everyone coming together to put such a competitive program together. I think that turned some heads and put us on the map.”

As it has for years, Chevrolet turned plenty of heads throughout all of 2024.
