“The Big One” was back in Columbus, Ohio, on the second weekend in July.

The most prestigious event on the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association calendar, the 26th annual Summit Racing Nationals presented by PPG brought over 6,500 cars and trucks to the Ohio Expo Center across three hot days. Muscle cars, hot rods, customs and more were scattered throughout the grounds and buildings that make up the 360-acre Ohio Expo Center.

Attendees could even take a look from above on SkyGlider, a half-mile sky ride that provides a bird's-eye view of the festivities.

Thousands of classic vehicles were on display during the Summit Racing Nationals in Columbus, Ohio, including many from the Bowtie.

As always, a significant number of Chevrolet and GM models were on display, ranging from pristine restorations to cutting-edge restomods with Chevrolet Performance crate engine* power.

Despite the heat, the Summit Racing Nationals maintained the event’s usual carnival-like atmosphere. Autocross and burnout competitions, a dragster exhibition, vendor midway, swap meet, special vehicle-specific parking areas, live music and much more were all part of the action.

In addition, the renowned Street Machine of the Year, Street Rod of the Year and New Product of the Year winners were revealed on Saturday evening. Plus, the 2025 Goodguys Grand Prize Giveaway was unveiled. It is a Goolsby Customs-built 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Aercoupe powered by a Chevrolet Performance LT4 E-Rod crate engine

The show then wrapped up with the event awards ceremony on Sunday afternoon.

Chevrolet Performance was a major part of the 26th annual event.

Throughout the show, the Chevrolet Performance display maintained a significant presence. A wide variety of crate engines were on display, along with transmissions, Connect & Cruise Crate Powertrain Systems, parts and components, vehicle upgrades and accessories

The BLOCK team was on-site during the event and captured the Bowtie and GM beauty in the Buckeye State. An extensive photo gallery is below.
