The Turn Key Motorsports team recently took to the track at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, where Turn Key development engineer and driver Jack Rinke steered a Camaro ZL1 to a third-place finish in the GT class of the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli. This marks the second consecutive year the car has finished in the third spot.
The team was without rain tires for the Trans Am Mid-Ohio event, and while all other teams switched to rain tires at the beginning of the race, Turn Key Motorsports decided to keep the car on course with slick tires in order to maintain a favorable track position. Through careful and consistent driving, they were able to secure the third-place finish in the treacherous conditions.
Rinke praised the outstanding handling performance of the No. 12 Chevrolet Performance Camaro ZL1 throughout the race at the Lexington, Ohio, track.

The Sunday portion of the Mid-Ohio SpeedTour event was run in very wet conditions. Rinke turned in an impressive performance by running on slick racing tires rather than wet-weather tires throughout the event, displaying impressive car control as he led several laps in his first wet-weather race.
