The 2024 edition of the Indianapolis Bowtie Nationals brought dozens of unique builds to the Circle City. The late-September event at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park highlighted the best of Chevrolet, as well as several other General Motors brands including GMC, Cadillac, Pontiac, Oldsmobile and Buick.
That meant open hoods revealed an impressive array of GM power plants.
GM engines from multiple eras were part of the 2024 Indianapolis Bowtie Nationals.
The engines on display ranged from Chevrolet Performance crate engines*, to LS swaps, to Small Blocks, Big-Blocks and six-cylinder mills. Stack injection also made an appearance, as did engines as diverse as a GM Ecotec inline-four and a Buick Nailhead V-8.
The BLOCK team was on hand to document the event and captured many of these impressive engines. A gallery spotlighting some of the show’s best engine bays is below.
