The cutting-edge SP502/605 crate engine* is one of the newest additions to the Chevrolet Performance portfolio. During this summer’s HOT ROD Power Tour, the latest Big-Block made the rounds in the brand’s famous 1969 Chevelle “Slammer.”

As the name implies, the engine carries on the Bowtie’s legendary Big-Block tradition with 502 cubic inches of displacement. It is rated at 605 horsepower and 580 lb.-ft. of torque, making it a perfect choice for muscle cars and hot rods.

The power plant uses the ZZ502/502 crate engine* as a starting point, but offers higher-compression pistons, a new hydraulic-roller camshaft and CNC-ported oval-port heads, among other impressive performance features. Plus, the engine is topped with cast-aluminum valve covers reading “502.”

We’ve made an image of the head-turning Chevrolet Performance SP502/605 crate engine in the Chevelle into a wallpaper download. High-resolution images for your desktop and mobile device are below.
